How to know if I need counselling?

It’s completely normal to wonder whether what you’re feeling is “enough” to reach out for support. Many people wait longer than they need to because they’re unsure if their struggles are valid or “serious enough.” The truth is simple: if something in your life feels heavy, confusing, or overwhelming, counselling can help you make sense of it.

You don’t need to wait for a crisis to seek help. Counselling is not only for moments of deep struggle — it’s also for personal growth, clarity, and learning healthier ways to cope. Many people come to therapy because they want to understand themselves

Why “White Lily”?

The name White Lily Counselling was chosen because white lily has long been a symbol of healing, renewal, and strength. Even after long winters or difficult seasons, lilies bloom again, soft, beautiful, and resilient. Their growth reminds us that healing does not happen all at once, but slowly, gently, and with care. The white lily represents the belief that every person has the capacity to grow again, even after hardship.

Just like a lily needs the right environment, light, water, and patience; people also need a space where they feel safe, heard, and supported. Counselling can be that space.

At White Lily Counselling, the goal is to offer a place where clients can pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. Together, we work toward understanding challenges, building resilience, and creating meaningful change.

Healing is rediscovering the strength that has always been within you.

What to Expect in Your First Counselling Session?

It’s normal to feel nervous or unsure. You set the pace, and you choose what feels comfortable to share. My role is to create a space where you can finally exhale.
We’ll talk about what brought you here, what you’ve been carrying, and what you hope might feel different. You don’t need perfect words or a clear story. You can show up exactly as you are, uncertain, hopeful, hurting, curious. All of it is welcome.
Together, we’ll explore what support could look like for you. Many people leave their first session feeling lighter, understood, and surprised by how natural it feels.
Counselling isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about having a safe place to begin asking the questions that matter and you don’t have to do that alone.
